With only days before the Awards Night for Ocean Shores Art Expo, artist Alex Moss is in preparation for its inaugural interactive sound and light installation. Alex, currently teaching at Byron’s SAE Institute, will interpret this year’s theme ‘Treasures’ with an interactive sound and light installation that he will project onto the exterior of the expo facade. “I hope to engage the imagination and senses of guests on arrival”. The organisers are excited about having the Expo’s first ever interactive sound and light installation, describing it as “our very own mini ’Vivid’ right here in Ocean Shores”.
In addition to the installation there will be a treasure trove of talent lined up for their 15 year anniversary. Awards night will kick off with live music from special guests, Doni Raven & the Petes, with Sunday’s lineup including the amazing talents of Dangerously Poetic, Mana Aloha Hula Troupe, Rebel Rebel Girls’ Choir and The Bowlo Choir. There will also be a huge array of raffle prizes to be won on the Friday night.
The 3 day expo will run from the morning of Friday 24 through till the afternoon of Sunday 26 August from 10am – 4pm, with the Friday Awards Night starting from 7pm. Entry to the expo will be $2 with Awards Night entry being $15. Drinks & catering will be provided and all artworks will be for sale, so be sure to arrive early on the Friday to snatch up a treasure of your own!
