Frequently Asked Questions
First you should review the conditions of entry.
These conditions are reviewed and updated each year around April, however we don' t usually make big changes and you can safely take guidance in last years conditions if a new set has not been posted yet.
However entry fee and dates can change from year to year and we may also update other details so be sure to check back, and ensure that you do meet the current requirements for the year of entry.
We do not require a digital picture or copy of your artwork, just enter via this site and follow instructions we give as to size and dates for delivery and pick-up.
Entries specify that there is a maximum size of 1m x 1.2m. The two canvasses are entered as one piece of art, then the dimensions must fit within these size limits. One entry form and fee applies.
If the artwork is being entered as two artworks but with the request that they be hung together, we can do that. Then each work may be up to 1m x 1.2m. In this case two entry forms and fees would apply.
If the two pieces are hung together but entered as two entries, they then are available to be sold separately.
All artwork needs to be delivered to the hall between 2PM and 6PM on Thursday the day prior to the Expo opening, works for hanging are required to have a cord firmly attached with hooks to the frame and be ready to hang.
All art work can be picked up AFTER the conclusion of the Sunday exhibition period at 4PM, we aim to have all works out by 5PM Sunday. As we are in the school hall we need to dismantle and pack up on the Sunday night and so it is important that you collect your works on time.
It is a condition of entry that the artwork stays on display for the full 3 days to allow guest the best opportunity to view and purchase your works, Under no circumstances will we allow works "sold or not" to leave the hall early.
YES but you will need to use only low voltage type (LED/Halogen) lights running off an adaptor with an output voltage of max 24 Volt. Plan to bring a 230 Volt extension cord to reach up to 15 meters from a socket. The 230 Volt cord needs to be TAGed please contact us if you want the Expo to arrange the test and TAG at a cost TBD.
Sorry but all works must be available for sale with a posted price.
It is part of the attraction for our guests with the availability of all the artworks for purchase, further it is an important part of our fund-raising that we can sell your works and keep the 20 % commissions.
No, unfortunately we cannot accept late entries.

Jobs involve all from setting up prior to the event and helping out during the weekend opening hours as host in the hall maybe at our sales desk or roaming the hall as custodian and safety watch, we also have specific small jobs in relations to the History presentations and during the awards night or maybe you can help Sunday afternoon in the take-down.
It is great if you want to help - just contact us at any time, but the sooner the better as we will have time to involve and train you for the more complex tasks.
