Artist Statement:
My primary inspiration is nature. I seem to be drawn to locations where the ocean meets the land. The symbiotic interaction between solid and liquid is endless in presentation as is the water and the waves they form. The interplay of light, movement and colour is my current focus.
Materials and process:
I paint with watercolours. This work is framed in oak and the painting is floated. This is one of a series of paintings I’ve completed that highlights the energy, movement and light of waves breaking on the shores of Byron Bay.
