Artist Statement:
This is a celebration of the subjects I love to paint, birds and still life. I wanted to combine both elements into this piece. I was struck by the amazing colour of these Tulips and, of course, the beautiful mating colours of the beautiful Fairy Wren.
Setting the black background brings out the colours of both perfectly! What an absolute joy this artwork was to paint.
