Artist Statement:
Created from a joyful state of play, this work celebrates colour, material and resilience following a challenging period in my life. Painting over a darker work, I revisited this canvas with spontaneous hope and delight to make something new.
My work explores the sensations and feelings that snake and shimmy, often fleetingly, through the present moment. I am interested in the immediacy of embodied experience and ways to express my unnamed feelings.
