Artist Statement:
Celebrating pristine wilderness.
This is my favourite reedy stream on the Jatbula trek in Nitmiluk Park.
Five days of trekking, heat, waterfalls, snakes, herons, bats, fish, cascades, lilies, rock art.
Gratitude to the Jawoyn people for sharing this special country.
Materials and Process:
Acrylics on heavy paper.
I started with gelli printing to get the watery flow happening.
Followed with Acrylics, use of spatulas and brushes, a little ink.
Framed using a recycled frame from the Myocum recycling centre.
