Artist Statement:
My art journey began a few years ago , when I discovered how painting can be a wonderful absorption into creating with or without an end result in mind.
I wanted to celebrate the power of beautiful blooms , and the all encompassing ability of a bouquet of flowers to celebrate and commemorate any occasion.
In a world where we can be overcome with all that is going on both locally and globally, we need to take a moment to celebrate the simple things in life that are so often taken for granted!
Materials and process:
I decided to repurpose a canvas I found at the op shop…celebrating a 2nd chance !
I have used Gesso to re seal the canvas , collage, acrylic paint and inks.
