Artist Statement:
This piece is created through the joy received watching a new flower open. The beauty of life when we ‘stop and smell the roses’, is something to celebrate.
Coming from a background of dress, décor and interior design, I am constantly looking to apply my skills to resin art in jewellery, homeware features and special pieces. In each of these pursuits, I endeavour to challenge myself and break boundaries to create unique items that are joyful, positive and different.
Materials and process:
This art piece is created on canvas using mediums of acrylics, moulding paste and resin. It is supported behind by polystyrene to stabilise the resin and then shadow framed in timber.
